Forgive ~ Forget

Forgiveness

Forgive you?
That's all I can do, to help me forget you...

I look deep inside, is it impossible for fresh new start?
One that promises my soul to reconnect to my heart.
Being apart turned them dark.
Why is that so hard?
This life of forget,
This life of forgive.
Where to find the start.

How do you do one then the other to help find another?
I look to the secret part of my heart,
Looking for a way to remove the crime, kill the grim,
That dirties my mind into believing in nothing but stark.
Oh how I want my dream of a fresh clean heart.
When can it start.

My mind is dead,
So full of dread,
That only finds comfort lying in bed.
Blind to color as dread seeped down deep,
Contaminating a new chance that has not been cheap,
Contaminates the fresh beginning
keeps me from finding forgotten
due to the forgiving that's not begotten.

Hoping to get up out of this false sense of trust,
The physical comfort to match the nerves,
Which penetrates the shield of hate,
Turn hate of the heart into a fresh clean start.
This is the cleansing part.

Can it be real
A heart filled with no damage or scars.
Bright new colors to cover the marks
that lay so deep in my heart,
How do you fix something so dead, that once was so bright red.
Fill my eyes with light, that filters through my head,
Taking away all that dread.
Brings back the delight.

Forgive, forgive may someday be forgot.
Find the truth,
Build the trust,
Repair yourself that's a must.
It can be real, you have to make a deal.
Compromise, you will be surprised.
Forgiving, forgetting makes you rise above the dark.
That's the start!
